Jeremy Karlovits

Chief Executive Officer

Jeremy KarlovitsJeremy was a starting offensive lineman for Chico State University and enjoyed the physical and mental challenge that college athletics provided. Shortly after leaving Chico, he came home to San Diego and entered the work force. In 1996 he gained employment with a local freight forwarder as an entry level warehousemen. After a year on the docks he was promoted into an operations capacity and rapidly advanced within the organization. By his 5th year he was the station manager of a 25 million dollar freight forwarding franchise in San Diego. With goals to grow and generate more business he transitioned into a sales capacity. Using his operational knowledge in the sales field he quickly rose on the revenue boards and became the number one sales rep in San Diego.

With his success and reputation for hard work, dedication to the client and passion for business development he was recruited by Miramar Transportation Inc. DBA Pilot Freight Services San Diego. Jeremy’s passion for growth was never overlooked at Pilot and in 2010 he was given the opportunity to vertically integrate an FTL offering into the local franchise, A&O Logistics was born. As the architect he set out to break records reduce costs and improve service. While this was a challenging task A&O has fulfilled his vision. This was done by using state of the art technology, dedication to the client and most importantly establishing a company culture that rewards and empowers employees.

A&O’s success can be credited to their commitment to their clients, industry innovation and the integrity of each of their employees. Jeremy now lives in Chula Vista with his wife and 4 children.

Steve Ruegsegger

Senior Account Manager

SteveWith over 35 years in the LTL and Logistics business, Steve brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge in both operations and sales. He began his career in 1978 in San Diego with Roadway Express engaging all aspects of operations in various positions of responsibility. Steve moved back to San Diego in 1984, got married and went to work for Consolidated Freightways. During that stint he worked in outside sales for 7 years honing his customer and relationship skills. After that he managed several LTL stations in the area before coming to A&O Logistics in 2012.

He facilitated the startup of the A&O LTL division by vertically integrating a large military contract the parent company, Miramar Transportation, had for many years. Since then he has helped guide both the truckload and LTL divisions and has been successful in helping generate a steady and consistent growth for both teams. His broad operational and sales experience give him a unique perspective for helping new customers. He continues to listen to clients, determine specific needs, devise solutions to meet them, and implement and manage innovative supply chain solutions.

Carrie Farella

General Manager

CarrieCarrie Farella jumped into the transportation industry June of 2011 when she joined A&O Logistics and has not looked back once. Carrie came from the publishing industry where she worked with high-profile customers with Government contracts as well as small privately owned companies and learned quickly how to tackle any obstacles in her way, in order to please her customers, no matter how big or small. At American Custom Publishing, Carrie was involved in every aspect of the business from yelling “Stop The Presses” at press runs as well as managing large shipping and fulfillment projects. She prides herself in her attention to detail and her ability to provide her customers with the best service at an affordable cost.

Since joining A&O, Carrie has been vital in the success of the truckload business by building solid, long-lasting relationships with both A&O’s carriers and customers. You can often hear her saying on the phone “We are not like every other truckload broker out there” and “We are changing the industry one load at a time”!

Chris Rivinius

Operations Manager

Chris RiviniusChris was born and raised in San Diego, California. Growing up he spent most of his free time surfing the various beaches of San Diego. He began his career in logistics in 2008 working on the dock loading trucks for Pilot Freight Services in San Diego. He quickly transitioned into the operations department routing Air and Ground Freight. It was in 2014 when Chris was given the opportunity to work at A&O Logistics. Chris rapidly gained an in-depth knowledge of the truckload market and through his hard work and dedication he was promoted to the Operations Manager.

Chris works diligently with his carriers and strives to ensure all customers expectations are met or exceeded. While Chris is not working, he enjoys the outdoors camping with his wife and 4 children.
